Comparison
Blogdat vs Frase
Frase is a content workspace with a score and a CMS handoff. Blogdat is the blog that belongs to the site.
Frase's current pitch is the whole week of a content program: research what already ranks, draft in a brand profile, score the page for search and for AI answers, publish to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix, or its own CMS, and watch AI share of voice. Content Guard is described as noticing a slipping page and drafting a revision you approve. That overlaps Blogdat more than Jasper or Copy.ai do.
The difference is the center of gravity. Frase is a workspace you open to optimize and ship pages. Blogdat is attached to the site: the offer, the schedule, the languages, the indexing request, and the keyword and mention tracking for that property. Frase is the closer rival. It is still not the same product.
Where Frase is genuinely strong
Scoring a draft for both classic search coverage and AI-answer readiness is Frase's home turf, and the monitoring across chat products is part of the same loop. Publishing to more than one CMS, with schema, removes the copy-paste step that older optimizers left to you.
Blogdat does not try to win the "content score" category. If your editors live in a score and a brief, Frase matches that habit. If the site needs a queue of articles that go out even when nobody opens a research tab, that habit is Blogdat.
What Blogdat is for
Blogdat runs the blog for a site. It researches that business, drafts the article, makes the image, publishes on a schedule, and can ask Google to index the URL when Search Console is connected. It can translate, connect WordPress, and carry more than one brand.
It also tracks keywords, AI mentions, and link metrics for the sites you connect. Link metrics and domain rating are shown from Ahrefs when that connection is on. Blogdat does not crawl its own copy of the web's keywords or backlinks, and it does not buy ads or run a sales sequence.
Side by side
| Job | Blogdat | Frase |
|---|---|---|
| Hired for | A site blog on a schedule | Research, score, publish, watch AI mentions |
| SERP brief | A research step, not a term score | Built around pages that already rank |
| Brand profile | Site record and refusals | Brand hub learned from the site or set by you |
| CMS targets | The blog and WordPress | WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix, or FraseCMS |
| Revision watch | You edit and republish | Content Guard drafts a fix when a page slips |
| Languages | Translations as part of the site | Not the reason to buy it |
| Indexing request | Yes, with Search Console | Not the center of the pitch |
| Keyword and link tracking | On the connected site | Visibility is framed as AI share of voice |
How to choose without a spreadsheet of logos
Pick Frase if the team already thinks in briefs, scores, and CMS exports, and someone is in the tool most days. Pick Blogdat if the site should produce the next article from what the business is, on a calendar, in more than one language, and then ask Google to fetch it.
Owning both is reasonable only if Frase is the research desk and Blogdat is the publisher. Do not let both of them publish to the same URL.
How this page was checked
- Public product pages for Frase and for Blogdat, read in October 2026. Plan names and prices change. Confirm them on the vendor site before you buy.
- No score in this comparison is a lab result. Where a product claims a database size or a model name, that claim is theirs.
- Blogdat does not replace a keyword index, a backlink index, an ad suite, or a sales workflow. If that is the job, this is the wrong alternative.
