WordPress

1.Site analytics

If you do not use the Blogdat plugin and only want visit tracking:

  1. Open the site in Studio and copy the Embed snippet.
  2. Prefer a header/footer plugin or your theme’s custom scripts setting so updates do not wipe the tag.
  3. Paste the snippet in the footer / before </body>.
  4. If you edit the theme directly, add it in footer.php before </body>, and keep a child theme so updates do not remove it.
  5. Clear any page cache plugin after saving.
  6. Load a public page and confirm a visit in Site Analytics.

When you use the Blogdat WordPress plugin with an analytics key, the tracker is injected for you. You do not need to paste the snippet separately.

2.Blog

The plugin syncs published Blogdat posts into a WordPress custom post type. Front-end pages read from WordPress only. Images are proxied.

Install

  1. Install Blogdat from the WordPress plugin directory when it is listed, or download the plugin from github.com/logiclyhub/blogdat-wordpress-plugin and upload the zip via Plugins → Add New.
  2. Activate Blogdat.
  3. In Blogdat Studio, open site setup → Integrations → WordPress and copy the connect token.
  4. In WordPress, open Settings → Blogdat, paste the connect token, and Save.
  5. Click Sync now.
  6. Back in Blogdat, click Check now to verify the connection.

The connect token carries your site slug, analytics key, and API origin. Language is detected from your Blogdat site on sync. Public URLs become /{language}/blog/ and /{language}/blog/{slug}/.

Show latest posts on a page

In the WordPress block editor, paste:

[blogdat_latest count="3"]

Useful links after sync

  • Blog overview: /{language}/blog/
  • Sitemap: /sitemap-blog.xml
  • Menu: Appearance → Menus (or the Site Editor) and link to the blog overview URL

Local development only

Production defaults to https://app.blogdat.ai. For a local Blogdat app, add to wp-config.php:

If you want the blog on blog.yourdomain.com instead of inside WordPress, connect that domain in Studio → Settings → Domain and link it from your menu.
