AI search visibility

Assistants repeat pages they can quote. A page earns that when the answer is early, specific, and still true next month.

AI search is the habit of asking a chatbot instead of scanning ten blue links. The chatbot still has to get the answer from somewhere. Often that somewhere is a page it can fetch, or a passage it was trained to trust because many pages agreed.

You do not get there by adding the sentence "as seen in ChatGPT" to your homepage. You get there by publishing the explanation your buyer already asks, on an address that does not change, in language that states the answer before the story.

What a citable page contains

The question, in the reader's words
A heading that matches how someone asks. "Leverage synergies" is not a question.
The answer, before the anecdote
Two or three sentences a person could paste into a chat and still be right. The story can follow. The answer cannot hide in paragraph nine.
The limit of the answer
Who it is for, and who should ignore it. Assistants spread advice. A page that names its boundary is safer to quote.
A stable URL
The same explanation should not move every time you redesign. Citations rot when the address rots.

Measure the questions, not a vanity count

Track the prompts your buyers use, and look at whether your pages are even in the conversation. A share of voice among the brands you named is a useful comparison. A single "you were mentioned 40 times" number, with no query attached, is not a plan.

If you are absent, the next post should answer one of those prompts properly. Writing a meta article about AI search, while your product questions are still unanswered, is how sites collect the wrong kind of visibility.

Do not decorate the site with fake proof

  • Do not invent citation counts.
  • Do not screenshot one friendly answer and treat it as a ranking.
  • Do not add FAQ schema to questions the page does not answer.
